Conan the Barbarian by Robert E Howard

This collection of stories were penned in the 1930's. The language is very flowery, very cheesy. There is much mentioning of Conan's mighty thews, his loincloth and his crimson stained sword! It's a product of it's time and very misogynistic. If you can get past these aspects, it is a swashbuckling read. The main theme is that of barbarism clashing with Civilization.
